Different Groups of People

The world has different kinds of people depending on a variety of factors.

I made this writing five years ago and, today, I thought I’d revisit it. Actually I was feeling averse at first because I feared how my readers would take it, but I told myself one thing, that everything done from a clean heart is clean only to the doer. Hahah. Of course I can bet a dollar to a doughnut that some will still find it brackish. Tell me how you feel after you finish reading it then.

This is simply a list that bundles people into some ten categories with regard to their comportment. It shouldn’t be, for any reason, taken as a form of prejudice, but a mere literary work whose goals are to enlighten, admonish and encourage. Should you still feel offended by anything in it, then kindly let me know in the comments section. We can chat about it, chum 😉😅. The first five may not be pleasing, but keep reading.

Ten Categories of People

1. The ignominious ignoramus. This kind of person fears embarrassment. They may not have adequate knowledge on a particular issue but are still bitten by shame when you enlighten them or find out they didn’t know. At times, they may gloat in public with a thin strand of a wide subject just to veil their ignorance. Even if you inform them of what you know so well they don’t know, they will always go about bragging of how they knew it or they will immediately put you off simply because they don’t want to talk about it and end up being embarrassed. They are the kind of people who do not welcome corrections and advice. If you are one, just learn to appreciate people whenever they let you know of your mistakes or what you didn’t know.

2. The mood swing persons. These people are hard to deal with because when you see them giggling and happy this minute, the next minute they become angry, very angry, or sad and very sad. They are difficult to crack jokes with; they do not know the demarcation between jokes and reality. Take care whatever you say to them or how you act around them, even in a relationship. If you are such , then learn to politely withdraw when your emotions overtake you.

3. The egoist. Another different kettle of fish altogether, always putting barricades between themselves and others. They are these ‘ever serious’ people. They hold such notions like: I don’t belong to this group, I don’t like these people, these people are not my class, these are time-wasters, I have better things to do, I am busy. Yes, it’s always about them and what they believe is right. If you are such, calm down, baby; we’re still all physically on earth. You will give yourself heartbreak and hypertension for no good reason.

4. The harsh critique. This person is always right while others are wrong, all the time. They don’t know the value of appreciation. They see all the mistakes in people. They say they ‘know who people are’. They can always be good gossipers and argument lovers. They like using the phrases: who doesn’t know, it is said everywhere, haven’t you heard/known, I hate him/her, … Some of them are also quick tempered. They love to secretly spy on people and are often envious. If you are such, learn the golden rule: do unto others as you would like done unto you. And don’t forget that you too are a human with your own mistakes.

5. The dormant {silent killer}. Another fire. They are one group of introverts who like keeping quiet, really talk little. They don’t get angry too fast. They love solitude. They don’t lie easily. They know how to keep a secret. They consider whatsoever they say. But when provoked, the silent killer is the most dangerous person on earth. They will ensure they bring you down to your doom by all means. They don’t know how to forgive and forget quickly but when they finally do, after long, they forgive with every piece of their heart. When dealing with them, take great care, they will always take whatever you say with a grain of salt. Some of them do not also know the meaning of cracking jokes. If you are such, writing and sharing your problems is your best way of tackling them. You may not know yet until you try it. Just try writing a poem or story over a few of your problems or grudges with people, you will surely love it. In short, keep a diary.

Nature brings to this world different sets of people, we can’t rebut such a truth.

6. The free stylist. This is the normal life person. Everything is normal to them; people, relationship, work and study. They consider everyone equal and treat people as any other social person. They date because that’s normal. They treat mistakes and problems as any other normalcy in life. People always treat them as full of negligence and self-assuming attitude, but in real sense, they are born to be just the way they are. They barely suffer depression and always enjoy every moment until they find themselves in problems or stepping on people’s toes unknowingly. If you are one, learn to pay some attention to every step of action you take and how you treat others.

7. The boss. They are always strict with time, work and study. They have few friends, mostly those who share in their ambitions. They love money and really work hard to have it. They dream big. They are innovative. They overwork themselves unintentionally. Their social life is shrouded in mystery. When stressed, they go for extreme measures of solving depression like drinking and clubbing or lonely prayers if pious. They may be really a mountain of bones to work with, but really value respect and etiquette. If you are one, always ensure you fix some time to do bodily exercise and watch TV, it’s your nearest panacea.

8. The home of society. Why do I call them so? They are the most sociable and kind people on earth. They know how to easily make new friends, how to crack jokes and how to handle mistakes. They look real and lively, usually with that carefree sparking smile. They love social networks, creating ideas and working together. They do not hold grudges, they easily forgive. But they at times have tough-bending rules. Be careful when dealing with them, con artists and liars belong to this category. 😆😂🤣 If you belong here, use your personality wisely. You can go places.

9. The realist. They are warm, calm and approachable, though not overtly sociable like the home of society. They smile, crack a few jokes and hang around with friends, but are always taking great precautions. They like studying people and considering the type of friends they have. Sometimes, they can joyride; at times, they can give painful pieces of advice. They have a great liking towards truthful and ‘mindful’ people and have ‘silent’ principles. When dealing with them, you have little to worry except that you be careful about your actions and what you say to them because they are silent judges. If you are such, you have a great personality but take care; not everyone likes leading a real life; you may lose a true friend.

10. The pot of confusion (a result of bad influence). This kind of person is always as confused as the name suggests. They are living on trials. They do things because ‘most people are doing them‘. They have no properly defined goals. They live on questions and answers. They wait for tomorrow to come and do not plan for it. They lead a carefree lifestyle marked by alcoholism, adultery and arrogance. They have a sparking influence. If you are a friend to such a person, you ought to either try reforming them or quit your friendship with them before they conform you (really? 🤗). If you are such a person, give your mind a second chance by seeking advice from your religious group or going for guidance and counseling.

There are other minor categories such as the pious, the secularists, the problem maker, the innovative, the adventurous and so on and MAJOR categories that social scietists discovered long ago such as the introvert, the ambivert and the extrovert.

So, where do you belong? There are those who fit in specific categories while many will most assuredly have tits and bits of features from each group. That doesn’t mean they don’t belong to a particular group, it’s just that due to daily interactions they’ve learnt to deal with their shortcomings and have thus acquired new features. Ain’t that winderful too!

Share with a friend and ask them where they belong.

  1. That was interesting, Lamittan. I know people who fit into all these categories, though I tend to look at people as more nuanced when I can manage it. Even people who drive me nuts have backstories and influences that shape their lives, challenges to overcome, and dreams for the future. Though our responses to each other and the world may be different, at our core, we are more alike than unalike. ❤

I think I am a bit of 2, 4, 7 and 9. I have mood swings and understanding jokes use to be hard for me but now I think I have control over it and I love solitude, I am blunt, I don’t like to sugar coat and I can keep a secret. I am somewhat The Boss cos I love punctuality and also I need to have a fixed time for everything and I overwork a lot. I am definitely the 9th one also, I think I am 50% 9th 50% is divided between the other 3 😃
This one is very much interesting Lam, thank you for this. ❤️❤️
